What this site does

This site presents Fahrpult-Light, an idea in development, and collects sign-ups for a waitlist. It sets no cookies and uses no tracking or analytics tools. The fonts are on the same server as the site; nothing is loaded from Google or other providers. Netlify shows a small hosting notice at the bottom. If you hide it, only your browser remembers that for one week (in its local storage); nothing is sent to me or to Netlify.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (USA). When you visit, Netlify processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, the time, the page requested and details about your browser in server log files. This is needed to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, my legitimate interest in a secure, working website. Netlify is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and a data processing agreement is in place with Netlify.

Waitlist

When you sign up, I store your email address, your voluntary answers (simulators, platform, what you drive with today, previous controllers) and which link brought you to the site. I use them to email you about Fahrpult-Light (news, a video of the prototype and, if there is a first batch, the offer of a place) and to assess whether there is enough interest. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can sign up from age 16.

The form is received and stored for me by Netlify, Inc. (USA) as a processor (Netlify Forms). To protect against spam, Netlify automatically checks every submission with the Akismet service (Automattic Inc., USA); the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, my legitimate interest in a waitlist without spam.

After you sign up, I send you an email with a personal confirmation link. You are only on the list once you click it (double opt-in). When you click, Netlify stores the time, your IP address and details about your browser for me; I keep this together with your sign-up as proof. If you don't confirm within 30 days, I delete your data.

I send the confirmation email and all further emails about Fahrpult-Light from my Gmail account (maxkoch.koch@gmail.com). The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Data may also be transferred to Google LLC in the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Apart from the confirmation link, my emails contain no tracking pixels and no click tracking.

I keep your data until you unsubscribe or I end the project. Then I delete it.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, for example by replying "Stop" to one of my emails or by emailing me. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, for example the one in your country or region.
